I began full time in the Administrative Department at
Ermisch Travel in 1977 after graduating from Battle
Creek Central High School. I completed several courses
at Kellogg Community College in pursuit of a Criminal
Justice degree, but the lure of the exciting field of
Travel convinced me to devote all of my energy to
Ermisch Travel.
I have traveled extensively throughout my life,
including all over the United States, the Caribbean, and
Europe. My first cruise was across the Atlantic Ocean at
age 3, and since then have sailed a dozen times on a
variety of cruise lines.
We have relatives in Germany and have traveled to Europe
many times over the years, most recently during my son’s
senior year in high school, where three of his friends
joined us for a week’s visit to our family’s hometown of
Wiesbaden, Germany.
I recently visited Hawaii my first trip back there since
1973. That is one of my favorite destinations... .there
is so much to see and do. And the islands are each
unique and incredibly beautiful. We even ran into Clint
Eastwood on the island of Maui!
My hobbies include running, reading, sports, shopping,
and, of course, TRAVEL!

JULIE CARIUTY
I attended Kellogg
Community College after I graduated from high school.
But, soon found I was bored with taking traditional
college courses. So, I took a year off and then attended
Argubright Business College here in Creek. I enrolled in
their newly offered Travel and Tourism Class. I
graduated with top honors in the Travel Program with a
minor in the Secretarial Course.
I had worked as a intern here at Ermisch Travel while
still attending Argubright. It was only natural for me
to apply for a job. Mr. Breitbach hired me and I started
working on the spot. I cannot say it was easy at first
but, I kept saying just a few more months, just a few
more months. Well, months turned into year after year! I
have been employed by Ermisch Travel for 22 years. My
time has flown by!
it is truly a joy working with the public and planning
their vacations! Some trips, are more challenging than
others, but that is okay with me! I tend to book more
groups and escorted tours to different parts of the
world.
Prior to getting married and having children, I used to
travel quite a bit. But, now that my kids have become
active in sports and attend school, it makes it more
difficult to find a convenient time to take a vacation.
When my husband and I do travel, we always try to take
the kids. It just seems like we want them to experience
different destinations and culture with us! The children
are ages 14, 12 and 9 years. So, that is why I am just a
part-time employee because they keep me very busy when I
am not in the office.
We have vacationed in Mexico, Jamaica, Florida, the
Grand Canyon, and France, etc. I personally have
traveled to Hawaii, as well. Hawaii is one of my
favorites. Other than planning trips, I enjoy working
with my super, special co-workers here at Ermisch. They
are like family to me!
Happy Vacation!

JUDE SIMMONS HENNESSY
I graduated in 1986 from Climax-Scotts High School and
attended Western Michigan University for three years
pursuing a degree in fine arts. Feeling a little
confused as to what my future held, I took what was
suppose to be a 6 month reprieve from college to live
and work in London, England. There I met my future
husband (an Irishman from County Cork), and ended up
staying for a year and a half.
After moving back
to the states to live, I attended Davenport University
and received my diploma in Travel and Tourism. I have
been with Ermisch Travel for over 10 years. I have a
vast knowledge about travel, and can get you to most any
place you want to go, from bicycling through Holland to
back packing the Himalayas, touring the gardens of
England to cruising the Orient, or maybe a train package
to Chicago, a Walt Disney World stay or a flight to
Boise.
